Markers in Logic Pro and GarageBand. Go to, add, loop and remove markers by name, and use your arrangement sections the same way.
- Markers and arrangement sections work together. So "the second chorus" refers to the 2nd marker or arrangement section labeled "chorus". To choose between them, say "the chorus marker" or "the chorus arrangement" (or section).
- This release of Jude adds support for your own marker track in GarageBand using a silent MIDI track. This brings Logic Pro style markers, with the ability to place them anywhere in the song, to GarageBand. Just say "add a marker for the verse at bar 10 to bar 18".
- Loop a marker or an arrangement section in Logic Pro or GarageBand. The cycle area will be updated to match the location and length of the chosen marker or section.

"Stop" means stop. When you ask to stop a take or a playback, Jude stops it at your word, even in the rare case where the engineer only acknowledges you.
- After a brief connection hiccup, the engineer picks up where it was without falling into one-word replies.
- Jude asks for the macOS Accessibility permission when you launch it, if the DAW you use needs it for a feature such as REAPER's count-in. The DAW settings page shows the permission and a button to grant it.
- When the count-in can't be set in REAPER, the engineer says why.
Choose the MIDI input for an instrument track in REAPER. Tell the engineer which keyboard or controller a software instrument or MIDI track should listen to.
- "The piano should listen to the Behringer" puts the track on that device. Name a MIDI channel when you want one; otherwise the track listens on every channel.
- Say "all MIDI" to have the track listen to every device again.
- Ask "which MIDI devices do I have" to hear what's connected, both keyboards and controllers you can play in from and ports a MIDI track can send out to.
- Undo puts the previous input back.
Jude 1.0. The engineer answers sooner, connects by the fastest route, and can do much more in your DAW by voice.
- Quicker replies. The engineer answers sooner, on a newer speech model.
- The fastest route, every session. At each session start, Jude tries every way to reach the speech model in four regions. It tests direct connections and connections through Amazon's private network from the location nearest you, then uses the quickest. You can also choose edge or direct yourself in Settings → Voice.
- Better with bigger jobs. Requests that take several steps in the DAW are handled more reliably.
- Tool servers (MCP), in closed beta. Connect outside tools so the engineer can do more in your DAW. Write to support@heyjude.studio to join. Pricing isn't set yet.
- Record or play from any bar: "play that back from bar 5", "let's record at measure 12".

- Delete takes by number, across the whole song or on one track ("delete take 3 on drums"), in Logic Pro, GarageBand and REAPER. In Cubase and Nuendo the engineer can remove the last take.
- Pick up where you left off. Say "let's continue where we left off", or ask for the notes from last time.
- Tracks by voice. Add audio, software instrument or MIDI tracks by name, and rename, move or delete them. GarageBand has no MIDI tracks.
- Studio shorthand. Track labels like BV or Gtr are understood, and new tracks get them.
- DAWs in other languages. Every supported DAW works when it's set to a language other than English.

Input monitoring toggling is now supported across all DAWs. More of Logic Pro's state is discovered through the Mackie Control protocol. Various bug fixes.
- Turn monitoring on for several tracks in one request ("monitor the vocal and the guitar"), or drag across the I buttons to set them all.
- In REAPER, monitoring can also be set to auto.
- In Logic Pro, the I buttons follow what you change in Logic itself.
Minor fixes around unused MIDI ports and button sizing.
Tempo, time signature and count-in by voice. Ask for a tempo, a time signature or a count-in in any DAW, or use the new Count-In button next to Click.
- In Logic Pro, GarageBand and REAPER, say how long the count-in is: "two bars" or "an 8 count".
- Jude works with Logic Pro, GarageBand, REAPER and Cubase when they're set to other languages.
- "Record from bar 15 to bar 19" sets that range as the cycle, turns the cycle on and starts recording. Works in Logic Pro, REAPER, Cubase and Nuendo.
- The engineer starts or deletes a take only when your words ask for it.
- In Logic Pro and GarageBand, when Cycle is on and you ask to record from another bar, the engineer asks whether to turn Cycle off first.
- Asking to move a recording leaves everything in place, and the engineer tells you it can only move the playhead.
- On Cubase and Nuendo, Jude shows the DAW as disconnected as soon as it quits, and Cubase's Click light shows the metronome.
Remove several tracks at once. "Delete the guitar and the bass" asks one question, and one yes removes them all.
- On Reaper, the track list stays accurate after tracks are removed.
- Continuing your last session takes a single confirmation.
- The guided tour runs on first install; after that, start it any time from the Jude menu with Take the Guided Tour.
Pick up where you left off. Say "let's continue where we left off" when a session starts: the engineer names the song you last worked on, checks it with you, and brings the console up.
- In recording mode the engineer stands by after each task and lets you lead.
- If the speech model stops responding, Jude reconnects on its own. A notice appears only when that takes more than a few seconds, and it clears once the connection is back.
- On Reaper, the engineer tells you when Reaper isn't receiving its commands and points you to its OSC setting.
Delete a take by its number. "Delete take 3" removes take 3 from every track that has it; "delete take 3 on drums" removes it from that track only. Works in Logic Pro, GarageBand and Reaper.
- "Redo" puts back what the last undo removed.
- On GarageBand, Cubase and Nuendo, undo also reverses a track Jude added, or a change to a track's input or instrument.
- Logic Pro: "go to the end" moves to the end of the last recording, and trashing a cycle take removes all of its passes.
- During a take, only a clear instruction stops the recording.
- In the opening interview, you can ask about a song's earlier sessions.
- When you end a session by voice, it closes after the goodbye. Say "wait" to keep going.
Cubase users: we fixed a critical bug where playing back or returning to the start of a take could erase it. Jude now uses Cubase's own control buttons, so your takes stay safe.
- Start another take from exactly where the last one began — say "let's go again" after listening back or trashing a take, and you'll pick up right where you left off.
- Navigate to the start and end of your cycle by voice ("go to the start of the cycle", "record from the end of the cycle").
- When you play a take back, playback starts at the beginning of that take, not where you left the playhead.
- Positioning and instrument swap are now live on Logic Pro and GarageBand.
- A murmur or brief acknowledgment during a take ("mhm", "uh huh") won't stop the recording.
- Better microphone stability: a dropped connection mid-sentence no longer leaves the mic unresponsive, and the idle notice is announced once instead of repeatedly.
You can now manage tracks by voice on every supported DAW—add, rename, remove, and move tracks, set their inputs, and pick instruments by describing the sound you want.
- Cubase and Nuendo now have full track management, joining Reaper, Logic, and GarageBand through a small script Jude places in your DAW's scripts folder.
