Every plan includes studio hours — wall-clock time your engineer is live and working with you. The meter pauses when you step away, and hours past your allowance are metered at a fixed rate. No tokens, no talk-seconds, nothing you have to think about mid-take.

Prefer to pay only when you record? Pay-as-you-go runs $3.00 per studio hour with no subscription. Cancel any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for (the end of the year on an annual plan), and your plan stays live with its remaining studio hours until then. No partial-period refunds.
: 50% off the first month of a monthly Creator, Pro or Studio plan for new subscribers. Ends or after 300 redemptions, whichever comes first; not valid on annual plans; one code per account.
The clock runs while your engineer is live and engaged with you — in conversation or working the session. A long quiet tracking pass still counts as studio time, because the engineer is still working. Walk away and the meter pauses; come back and it picks up where it left off.
You will never see a token count or a talk-second in Jude. The app shows one number: hours left this month.
Counts when you are working
Session live and engaged — talking, tracking, or running takes.
Pauses when you step away
A few minutes with nobody using the engineer and the meter stops. Leaving the app open costs you nothing.
Resumes without ceremony
Speak again and your engineer is there — no reconnecting, no second introduction.

A Mac — Apple silicon or Intel — running macOS 13 or later and a supported DAW. Headphones are recommended — monitoring the engineer's voice on headphones keeps it out of the talkback mic — or tell Jude you're listening on speakers and the mic mutes itself while the engineer talks. GarageBand needs nothing configured (version 10.4.14 or later recommended); Logic and Cubase/Nuendo take a Mackie control surface, and Reaper takes Mackie or OSC (others coming). Three talk modes: always listening, push-to-talk, and the “Hey Jude” wake word. Setup, step by step, is in the docs.
No. Jude creates its own virtual ports and appears as a control surface. Logic finds it at launch; Reaper and Cubase config takes seconds. GarageBand uses no MIDI at all — Jude drives it through macOS Accessibility, so you just grant the permission once. Per-DAW steps: Logic, GarageBand, Reaper, Cubase & Nuendo.
No credit card — registration only — an account is created so your settings, engineer and studio-hour balance follow you. Trial accounts do not automatically convert to paid.
Sessions keep working and additional hours are metered at your plan's rate. You can also cap overage in Account if you would rather be stopped than billed. The full mechanics are in Studio time & plans.
Your music never leaves your machine — Jude drives the DAW, it does not capture your tracks. Only talkback speech is streamed to the voice model, for the length of the conversation.
Your engineer is live AI, and it costs us money every minute they're working — so Jude can't be a one-time purchase. The plan covers a normal month of tracking; record more and the extra hours meter at a flat rate. Pay yearly and three months are free. Only record occasionally? Skip the subscription and pay $3.00 a studio hour.
You're billed once a year — three months cheaper than paying monthly — and your included hours still reset every month on your billing day. If you go past them in a month, the extra hours are billed monthly on that same day, separately from the yearly charge. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid year. Moving to annual at the same or a bigger plan is charged today, with credit for the unused part of your month; a smaller annual plan starts when your current month ends.
Yes, from Account — no email, no phone call. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for — your next monthly renewal, or the end of the year on an annual plan: you keep your plan and its remaining studio hours until that date, and you are not billed again. Time already paid for is not refunded pro rata.
Seven: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi. Every engineer speaks English, and the international engineers on the roster are native speakers who follow the language you use — talk to Anika in German or Diego in Spanish and the session simply happens in that language.
It's coming soon. The audio and MIDI layers are based on portable standards for exactly this reason. Sign up and say which DAW you use — it helps us order the work.
